you will be hired as a consultant and you are free to work elsewhere 
simultaneously provided you meet your project deadlines at sarai - it is 
not mandatory to be physically present at sarai every working day - we
will sponsor your travel/etc to attend various conferences/workshops/etc
within india - any software/documentation/etc which is part of the
project will be published as flosk (free/libre open source knowledge)

the maximum salary that we can offer is Rs 16,000/month

looking for techies - people who can code (and preferably not averse to
a language - but willing to learn if required) and also be able to
manage their machines, install/configure software on linux

the job involves analyzing/developing solutions for problems which are
usually research oriented in nature - problem domains include
p2p, indic computing, data mining/retrieval, linux + audio/video
processing etc
