have you considered PHP 5 also , it has many OOP
features now, quite simple to scale up (uses shared
nothing architecture) cal also call perl and java
programs or even com component .......its fastest
growing and most popular web srcipting language on
earh t
if you are writting a serach engine basesd application
you might try following mngo search, phpdig ,
lucene(java) and clucene (c implementation) ...though
nothing rocks like c/C++
