[OT]portability issue

Hi! all

 I am currently working on a database intensive
application. Databse under use are mysql and
postgresql.   Application is designed to run on linux
and windows both using python (to be released under
GPL). Though linux version is ready and stableThe
issue i have is how to test application for windows
platform. 

 Does anyone has experience in testing applications on
windows platform? Any special issues that need to be
looked into, any performance tunning required etc. Any
suggestion will be helpful.
