Mono Project

Hi All , 
I want to run .NET applications and also develop them on linux . For
this I downloaded all the packages that were available on the go-mono
web page including monodevelop , mono etc . But while trying to
install it , I had real trouble with the dependencies of these
packages . I am using Fedora core 2 , and since I am pretty much new
to linux had troubles installing packages such as libgnomeprint etc .
How can I resolve this issue and what all should I include while
installing fedora so that these dependencies are taken care of .
Also I tried to install vediolan rpms . again it contains a folder
with many rpms having dependencies on each other .... is there any
utility available that can make this task easier ...
