Ubuntu is one of the most popular Linux distributions. To find out the best
supported hardware configuration you should look at the System Requirements
for Ubuntu(Or any other)[1] & Ubuntu certified hardware [2]. I think maybe
your hardware is not supporting OS fully so try looking at the compatible
drivers and also look at additional proprietary drivers for your laptop
