Not much experience with UEFI, just a couple of installs. AFAIR, you need to
create a separate partition on the disk to hold the EFI files.
This generally is the first partition, and then comes your /boot and
everything else. If you do use your current hard disk, you might need to add
this guy.

Installed Centos 6.4 on an IBM Server with  UEFI BIOS.  Install would not
progress unless a   50 MB VFAT partition was created and mounted  on
/boot/efi.
The mnttab entry for the  partition is 
/dev/sda1 on /boot/efi type vfat (rw,umask=0077,shortname=winnt)
The partition contains  two files   grub.conf and grub.efi in
/boot/efi/EFI/redhat
