But i dont think the people who are using 'windows' are going to continue to do so just coz firefox has been ported to windows. They "little nice innocent ppl:-)" are going to do so coz they are either not aware of the alternatives ( open source OSs ) or despite knowing them are too lazy to shift ( Who moved my cheese ? :-) ). Firefox porting to windows is atleast probably going to make them aware of the fact that there is a whole different computing world ( open source ) which exists out there. The quality and success of Firefox might wake them up and probably convince them that shifting to Linux ( or any other open source OS ) can be a worthwhile excercise. I have a strong feeling that Firefox is a harbinger of the time to come. The Open Source Vs Close Source debate is reaching a peak now ( This is a big digression i make here :-)). There are countries who are completely turning to Linux ( BRAZIL is a case in point ) , who are doing so to get rid of Intellectual Property (IP) laws alltogether. More than anything , developing countries need Open source. Properiety software is not an option for them just coz of the cost involved. If "Firefox" makes a contribution to that regards , nothing like it. regs , vivek --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Imagination is more important than knowledge" Albert Einstien. <<snippet>> __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
