Ya, we have finally classified ourselves into so-called engineers. 4 years seems a lot of learning ... theory, pracs, submissions, vivas .... hmm pretty heavy dose. We should definitely get together some day. Thanks Soumya for the card, was great. With that post you just won yourself the most covetous first-ever-lady-post-on-the-list award. I don't know how many us noticed this. Soru, grass does look greener on the other side of the fence...its not just you, happens with everyone! Nevertheless, Pune is indeed a great place - in _all_ aspects. I think, since our HOD and couple of other staff members from the college are on the list, I'd like to make a point that our college is really a great place to hone our abilities. But we can definitely make it even better, by making fullest use of the available resources. I think department should undertake various projects under the department's patronage, which will be designed and developed by the department staff along with the students. I think we have students with great skills and talent, for example our batch is I think matchless .... everyone had something great which others could learn from, and I think there won't be any shortage of talent in our juniors as well. And moreover we do have good staff, now almost all-postgraduate staff. So I see no reason why our department cannot engage such activities ... just one or two to start with, say clustered file system or could be say just porting graphics programs in TC to linux by writing our own graphics.h. I think lot of students would be interested in such activities. Anyways, its just a suggestion. Hope to be in touch with everyone of you. best, AG Yahoo! Groups Links Yahoo!
