Windows is the BIOS to my Steam. Also, the touchscreen UI is nice for those
times when I want to use a large touchscreen.

Now, I also spotted a lot of mentions of MBR in this thread. If you're
using MBR-style partition table and bootloader, and you're using multiple
OSes, and you're upgrading Windows, you will *by default* have a bad time.
Be prepared to play with reinstalling grub off of a live CD (or an
equivalent exercise).

On the other hand, UEFI and GPT bring a lot of goodness, including OSes
that less often run over each others' bootloaders. I'm also pleased with
being able to use plenty of partitions without resorting to the
extended-partition hack.

If you are doing a migration to Windows 10 and have a motherboard that does
UEFI, consider whether you can suffer a reinstall of all OSes (Linux is
almost trivial to back up and restore fully). For multibooters that like to
fiddle with many OSes, it's a much more pleasant environment. :-)

A switch to Windows 10 doesn't really concern me a lot as far as data loss,
nor am I concerned about breaking GRUB and Clover. My actual concerns: is
the UI less useful with touch? Are there stability issues with games
(including older games)? Does the OS take significantly more space? Is it a
downgrade or an upgrade?

I guess I'll find out soon :-)
