And that's probably why Mark suggested applying to large multi-national
companies for start. They will wait and some of them may even expense your
interview trip.

I've got a job offer while still in Russia. Rodrigo is in much better
situation - as EU he won't at least have problems with visa/work permit. I
suspect there are more companies which will be willing to wait a week
before/after the interview than companies which will wait months for
feckign immigration paperwork. Still, even those exist.
