Folks,
It might be a bit short notice but I am organising a FOSS event in Queen's
University Belfast (QUB) in just under three weeks - in case anyone in ILUG
is interested. I've got just over 100 registered for it already plus the
speakers so I am getting close to the capacity of the room (if everyone was
to show up) so if interested get in quick. There's hopefully enough variety
that everyone will get something out of it. If anyone is travelling up let
me know ( jonnyDOTmccullaghATqubDOTacDOTuk ) and we can have a quick chat
in case I can advise about travel. I live in Newry myself.

We have speakers coming over from Red Hat, Linux Professional Institute and
also local companies such as AllState, PuppetLabs and HP OpenStack. There
will be talks covering topics such as Linux, Puppet, Jenkins, OpenStack &
Certification.
The Red Hat guys will be on a flying visit so if any companies would like
to meet them let me know and I will pass it on and/or arrange a meeting
room.
*Duration* 1 day

*Event Description*:
The BelFOSS event will showcase and raise awareness of Linux and
Free/Open-Source Software (FOSS) use in Belfast. Aimed at students, IT
professionals and hobbyists the talks will show how FOSS software is used
locally in charities, in research and in global business. It is hoped the
event will raise awareness about demand from employers for skills and
careers in Linux/FOSS.
