On a slight geo-tangent, the Belfast Linux User Group has seen a bit of a revival lately with monthly socials and tech talks (despite the growing number of other meetup groups in the city). I think this is largely due to a small core group driving it. We also organised a full-day event back in January - BelFOSS. And will hopefully do other similar things in future.
