The Impact of Cloud Computing on the Irish Economy

My name is Professor Theo Lynn; I am the Principal Investigator at the Irish Centre for Cloud Computing and Commerce (IC4), an industry-led technology center funded by the Enterprise Ireland and IDA.

In 2011, Goodbody Economic Consultants published a report, commissioned by Microsoft Ireland, on the opportunity to create jobs and help restore competitiveness by establishing Ireland as a Global Cloud Computing Centre of Excellence. With Microsoft Ireland and other IC4 members, we are currently compiling a new report on the role Cloud Computing can play in the Irish economy and would like to invite you to participate in this study.

As part of the project, we are undertaking a series of studies exploring current and expected use of Cloud Computing as well as the drivers and barriers of Cloud Computing adoption. The results of this research will be part of an industry report aiming to inform industry participants and policy makers about the role of Cloud Computing in the Irish Economy. The report will be published in January 2017.

This first survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HPYLMDD) should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. All responses and comments will be treated with full confidentiality. Participants may remain anonymous unless they wish to enter into a draw for an iPad Air, in which case contact details are required.
