Sadly I've never got anywhere.

I bought a HP laptop and pursued the Windows refund but they were quite
ignorant and their support staff were clueless so I've not bought anything
from HP for years as a direct result.

However Dell have a few Linux systems and I own 2 of them.

I have a Dell Latitude 15 laptop and it came installed with Ubuntu 14.04 in
March and I upgraded the awful hard drive with an SSD.

I previously bought the XPS 13 sputnik also with Ubuntu but Dell have never
updated their drivers and the power management has never worked properly so
my battery life sucks but it's lovely looking all the same and I still use
it as my daily machine after 3 years which is a record for me.
