The point is not Internet access vs. none. It's about control over what gets installed. Enterprises and home users have different requirements. Preseeding works well and I have managed to automate almost everything - almost. What I cannot automate, and I've tried a number of different preseed settings, is to automate the answers for "[!] Configuring grub-pc". Interaction is required to select the boot device and then continue. No combination of grub-pc/install_devices options that I've tried works here. It is possible that the installer doesn't do virtual machines well (vda vs. sda), I haven't had a chance to test a physical machine yet. At this point I would be happy to not havel a bootloader and "late_command" it, but even that doesn't work (grub-installer skip and lilo-installer skip seem to have no effect). -- Irish Linux Users Group --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ILUG" group.
