Re: Problem to subscribe without a google account

To the original question; I think it runs into an issue if the confirmation
link is clicked from a browser which is logged into a Google account, but
that Google account has a different email address to the one being
subscribed. Opening the confirmation link in an "incognito" window in
Chrome, or other browser's equivalent (ie: do not supply existing cookies),
should work. I haven't been able to replicate the exact issue described,
but this might help.

As others have pointed out, replying to the email also seems to work.
