Good "lapbook" for running Linux?

Hi all,

My tablet died recently and I'm casting round for an alternative.

I *_don't_* want a tablet again. Android was trying to (and sometimes=20
succeeding) track my location  too often for my liking!

So, I found this:

My thoughts are that surely if Barracuda works, they will? Aren't these=20
things made to standard specs?

Any advice, references, recommendations for other h/ware most welcome!
