At least for me, it is the very big problem. For many years, I have been fearing to do something in engeneering, including Linux, because my little effort call some disaster for me. That was a very triffle mattar, but I have an experimence that the "key men" in Japanese Linux communities surrounded me and abused with very dirty languages for some minutes. From that, I did only my mission to write about Linux and computer techs as well as possible. I think, they don't like such a woman is living in Japan at the same time frame. And now, the gender unequality is going to be a national target. Is that enough to tell you why the gender equality problem is big threat for women in Linux or engineering? I want to say thanks for you, Raja and all in here, because you tell me that "I'm ready to hear, when the reason is clear", I think. I can't see or read same honesty in about all of Linux/UNIX communities in Japan. -- Yoshiko Miwa <[email protected]> http://d.hatena.ne.jp/neko-yashiki/ PGP fingerprint: E1E2 2254 B520 2095 9815 E4B0 2083 C2CF C8EB 43BF ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
