It just means it is i386 compatible. Fedora will take advantage of more 
  modern instructions sets when available and being compatible with the 
base set is important for processors like VIA.  Fedora is a multi-arch 
distribution. For compatibility both the x86 and x86_64 libs are 
installed in parallel in some cases even on the 64-bit variant.

Yes.

For processor intensive applications, yes. If you are using a desktop, 
dont bother.
