Acer seems to be the best bet as far as non-windows laptops go.

Their aug-sept catalog has 9 linux models and 3 windows models and only 2 of
them are exclusively windows,(both of them 12.1 inch ultra portable)

They ship with something called Linpus Linux which doesn't seem to be
any good. (They actually include a printed copy of the GPL that was a
first for me.)

I think HCL is selling Linux based models too. They had some on display at
freed.in
