your logo and logotype suffers from hard-edged pixel problems.
suggested solutions:

a) anti-alias the edges of both the logo and the logotype.

and/or

b) create semi-transparent edges, but you may get stuck with an
alpha-channel, and i have no idea how correctly this may render in all
browsers and their versions, as a png file.

c) anti-alias and paste the log and logotype into a rectangle with the
same background color, so it blends in. problems may arise during a
css over-rule.
