          Some clarification regarding IIT Kanpur mirror.

The page at the above mentioned link says that the __Documentation__ is
internal ( hosted on the intranet ) since we do not wish to make it
public.

We are hosting a public mirror for archlinux, debian, fedora and ubuntu.

The mirror is hosted at :

The reason why we are not listed at
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/downloadmirrors
is because we are not complete mirror. We only mirror i386 and x86_64
architectures. We also do not host CD/DVD ISOs. Only boot cd image is
hosted.

We have also not opened up rsync for public, however, we have announced
elsewhere that we will open up rsync for NITs/IITs 
upon request. If other organization/institutions wishes to host a public
mirror, we would be happy to open up rsync for them too. Any such
request or mirror related queries may be directed to
