That is a really disingenuous comparision (do we have some advertising
standards board that we can complain to? )
DSL doesn't max out at 2Mbps .. most operators here have ADSL 2+ networks
which can go upto 24Mbps and they can actually offer 24Mbps to each user
whereas on the mobile network the bandwidth is shared and as the number of
users go up the average speed of the network goes down so you'll never get
the advertised max speeds.
Once the service gets really popular you'll be lucky if you get more than 50%
of the advertised speed.
Here's a post i made in 2003 about the speeds on the Reliance 1xRTT network

That was at 115200bps later managed to unlock the high speed modes of my
serial port with http://www.kati.fi/viahss/ and was able to get the whole
150+kbps.
As any current user knows that the current speeds are only slightly better
than dialup at most times/places.
