right Arun, this shows me the cpu id at this instant of time. I believe no user space threads can be prevented from using a particular CPU and compelled to use a particular. Its kernel scheduler who'll take care of this. Can I override it, and have a condition where out of my 8 processors, When ever I start the build process (make), it will get 100% exclusive dedication of 4 processors. -----Original Message----- From: linux-india-programmers-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org [mailto:linux-india-programmers-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org]On Behalf Of Arun Sharma Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2003 1:04 PM To: linux-india-programmers-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org Subject: Re: [LIP] Identifying the processor executing specific thread On Thu, Nov 06, 2003 at 01:24:50AM -0500, tank, amit wrote: > > I have tried out that earlier. > It gives many columns with no headers.
