i think maybe there is a misunderstanding here - i have been having a rather 
heated dispute with some friends of mine who are using GPL'd stuff 
(specifically, mysql and qt) in commercial programs (non-GPL'd and, in one 
case, closed source) without paying for the license. Nothing wrong with 
paying for licenses (if they are worth it), but, given the current climate 
where most people are ignorant about the various types of opensource licenses 
- ppl think that if it is opensource it is free for all - i think it is 
incumbant on anyone recommending any tool to also mention the license in the 
event that it is a restricted license.
