A majority of Defence R & D labs (DRDO) in India are
using Linux heavily. In my view that's because Linux
is open-source and they can make modifications and
customize it to get an operating system running on
their machine that provides the bare minimum
facilities required to run their software. Thus, they
feel much more safer.
