I have been trying to compile chmlib, which has only a readymade Makefile. The build stops at a line that calls libtool with gcc. Implicit mode is "compile", however I have modified the Makefile to specify it explicitly. The error that is produced, says : libtool: compile: unable to infer tagged configuration libtool: compile: specify a tag with `--tag' make: *** [chm_lib.lo] Error 1 Can somebody please how to specify --tag parameters for libtool? I have scanned the "libtool --help" page, the info page and the entire Autobook reference, but to no avail. I am using Fedora Core 1 on a Pentium-III box.
