[LIP] return status from main()...

in 4.3-BSD and SVR-4, the return status of main() is 13 unless it
explicitly calls
return with a return status, or exit() or _exit().
for instance:
int main(void){}
and
void main(void){}

Linux returns 0.

can anyone please tell the reason?
