Hi,
I have installed Fedora Core 2 on my machine. For
viewing movies installed mplayer.

I played the movie CD with root privileges. MPlayer
successfully read the mplayer.conf,config,codecs.conf,
font.desc and input.conf. But still didnt played the
CD... by showing
(command I executed: mplayer avseq01.dat)

Playing avseq01.dat
Cache fill: 0.00%(0 bytes)
Exiting...
End of file

Also when I'm trying to copy the file "avseq01.dat" it
is showing Input/Output error. If I do command "file"
on "avseq01.dat" it is showing Input/Output error.

Can anyone please tell what is the problem. Is there
no way to play movies on Linux.

Niranjan
