HI,

I am currently working on a small application written in qt.
The application has a significant part independant of qt.
The problem is that, i want to enable the user to compile just the
independant part and with qt part compiled in only when there is a
need. This targets the users who don't have _any_ qt installed.

For this i want to put the code in autotools generated scripts. A
configure script option will be greate. But i have no idea as to how
should i convert my project which i build using qmake right now should
be separted.

I do have very limited knowledge of autotools, have used them only on
simple projects.

The problem is limited to makeing the project only. As such i have
clean separation of the code and with one compile flag i am able to
achieve the qt independant executable.

Besides having ./configure; make; make install; is a desired feature
as many of the users are familier with the process.

Any pointers, tutorials, examples will be appreciated.
Google unfortunately returns nothing. OR may be you can suggest a
better search query...

Thanks and reagards,
Abhijit
