Hi, It might be something very small I am missing, but this has now eaten up a lot of my time. I am sure some of you will surely know what is wrong. When I try to connect to a mysql database, I get the following error: Fatal: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /var/www/index.php on line 4 I have tried with libapache2-mod-php4 (from both ubuntu and debian unstable) and libapache2-mod-php5. Exactly the same error. What am I missing? However, I noticed that the libapache2-mod-php4 and libapache-mod-php5 from the debian unstable are configured as --without mysql (an lot of other things) while that on ubuntu is configured with --with mysql. Currently I have the ubuntu package installed.
