Hi Suresh,
You need to declare the sys_call_table array as external variable as it is
defines in Linux Kernel Code. I am pasting a sample code for module which
replaces the open system call with user function defined in module. This
user defined function later on calls the actual open system call, its just
like putting a block in between the chain. Please see the following code.
Declare sys_call_table as extern variable in you module code

Hi,
I wanted some functionality to happen b4 the execution of a system call. I
have taken open system call for that. I have changed the
sys_call_table[__NR_open] to point to my functionality and from that the
actual functionality is called. While insmod ing the code, I am getting
sys_call_table as unresolved symbol. I learnt that while doing insmod this
symbol would be resolved. No idea why this symbol is not resolved. Kindly
help me out.
