Dear LIP, I am currently working on writing an XMMS Effect plugin. It would be very useful for me if I could profile the the plugin functions, so that I can improve on the DSP code. However, I see no way of using gprof to do this for me, as gprof logs the profiling details of a program to gmon.out only if the profiled program returns or calls exit; while all my XMMS Effect code is in a lib<plugin>.so. Is there any way out or nice alternative you can suggest? Thanks.
