Mailing List Fixed:
With much work from Jonathan Hutchins and Chris Bier, the KCLUG mailing
list has been restored! Welcome back!

Partnership with SecKC:
SecKC (http://SecKC.org) is Kansas City's premier group of computer
security enthusiasts. They meet once a month at Kanza Hall in Overland
Park, KS (7300 West 119th Street, Overland Park, KS 66213). SecKC has
partnered with KCLUG to extend benefits of its legal nonprofit status. All
KCLUG members are encouraged to check out a SecKC meetup. The next one is
on October 11th. Come to hear about news and jobs in the KC area, lock
picking, the tool hping, incident response, and red teams.

New Alternate Location:
NetStandard Datacenter has hosted the KCLUG.org website since it was first
registered. They run one of Kansas City's longest running datacenters
selling colocation rackspace; virtual servers, and hosted applications.
Their president, Walt Lane, is offering us space to meet in their group
meeting room at 2000 Merriam Ln, Kansas City, KS 66106 this Wednesday at
7pm. Perks include: Seating for two dozen or more; projection and AV
setup; complimentary wifi and coffee; parking just feet from the front
door. Take I-35 to Lamar, and proceed North on Lamar across the train
tracks to Merriam Lane. Turn Right on Merriam Lane, and NetStandard will
be about a quarter mile down the road, on the left.

Scheduling Change with the Library:
The Library's scheduling policies have changed and we will be booking each
meeting one at a time. It's unclear if this will affect our ability to
continue with our current schedule. We should know at least a month in
advance if we need to meet at an alternate location, and it will be posted
to the list with plenty of time to spare.

Library Closed on October 5th:
The KC Downtown public library will be CLOSED THIS WEDNESDAY the 5th for a
private event that rented out the whole building. We can use our new
Alternate Location for the first time this week. Come to learn about curl
and screen scraping to begin work on a scheduler bot to make the new
policies at the library more livable. Please RSVP to me if you can attend
the meeting at NetStandard. I'm getting there early to arrange tables.
