I haven’t been in ages and would like to see you all. I will try to be at the 3rd Tuesday meeting. Looks like that will be at the library.

Just looking at the KCLUG website I noticed the outage is mentioned up top and a request for oddness to be reported. They have IRC blocked here, so I will inform you that the upcoming meetings section is stuck on July 19th as the last scheduled meeting. I believe there was a script at one time, maybe in Perl, using the calendar you can access from the command line. I expect the script just needs to be tweaked.

When I saw “please RSVP”, I thought “If Monty reads this, his pedant will come out.” (reference to
pedantic for you dirty-minded little Linuxers)

I'm planning on being there.

"Please RSVP to me" is redundant, because RSVP means "Répondez s'il vous plaît", which is French for "Please respond." Therefore "Please RSVP" means "Please please respond".

You don't have to beg.
