I checked for licenses a bit but didn't look deep enough. @inside the books - which one(s) did you try? Strangely, I decided to checkout Ruby since one of my good friends keeps talking about Ruby and RoR these days and has actually implementing a very nice Indian Railway search with it ;). And I wanted a very quick intro to the same just for the heck of it. Found [1] and the essential links to be very useful. I spent a few hours on the ruby-essential [2] page today, and did learn quite a bit in a very short time that I have spent on it. Btw, I bumped into this book [3]. I haven't read it yet, but plan to, once I get hold of it. I was very impressed with the promo video, I like the fact that it says that its about learning to program and the implementation of the same is in Ruby. Its funny how the 10th chapter is named - "There's Nothing New to Learn in Chapter 10". Apparently its about Recursion.
