Hello to all LINUX users.

I have two (excess) scanners which have been tested out under LINUX.

Scanner #1: Microtek ScanMaker V6UPL - Works under XSane with Fedora 7
or Fedora 8, (I run both, and I have forgotten which of the two I was
testing it under).
CAUTION - The parallel port does not work, so you will have to use the
scanner under USB.
Advisory: The Windows 98 downloadable software for the ScanMaker needs
the parallel port,
so the non-functional parallel port was the reason I got this scanner.

Scanner #2: Hewlet/Packard Scanner/Fax 2110 "All In One",
the scanner works under XSane with Fedora 8.
Caution: The beast printed five colour pages, then quit, so the Print
and Copy functions do not work.

Further caution: The XSane front end will not allow you to take the
images into another piece of software, AFAIK.

Best offer, by midnight 2008-05-24, or I recycle them for the stepper
motors in them.
