Hello,

I am looking to set up some opensource systems to use in a home office. I
don't have the time to learn or hack setting things up. From reading, much
of the functionality I'm looking for has already been done out there.

I love OpenSource and I am using Joomla CMS as a Web Site.

I have looked around briefly for the solutions I wanted and everyone is
pitching proprietary solutions. Not for Me.

I am looking for advice as well as affordable help setting up and
maintaining an "opensource office".

I was told this was a good place to meet the local linux community and get
connected with some help.

What I'm looking for ( by order of priority ):

1. What is a good linux system or does it matter? I was thinking AMD64, I
have used some HP AMD 64s with no problems. I was told Debian is a good
stable production Linux. Comments.
2. Local Linux Server ( maybe 2 mirrored ) mirrored with setup on Hosted
Server ( BlueHost currently ) Joomla Website ( NOW ), SugarCRM Community (
NOW ), Asterix , and RSYNC

3. Setup Asterix: setup for call forwarding and other functionality and
communications with a group of people. I was told Sipura was a good product
to use with Asterix. Where can you get it in town? Any suggestions /
comments.
4. Website: A form on the Joomla site, send data to SugarCRM Leads Table.
5. Synchronizing Google Calendar with SugarCRM.

There are other things I would like to do ( email server, email scripting &
filtering etc ... ), but these are the first priority.

Thanks,

Guy
