X (KDE) Authentication Issues

Hey folks, Hopefully a simple one. Trying to shut off all (I mean, all) X authentication, authorization, permissions, etc on some workstations. There is no need or concern for security or anything that "gets in the way". I want to be be able to work with these workstations as freely one one used to before the Internet became a common word. Systems are FC5 with KDE 3.5. The vintage of the systems is just fine. The other point to note is that I'm running chroot jails on these boxes and want to allow X apps to work properly from inside the chroot. I've tried the old "xhost +" and "export DISPLAY=" tricks to no avail. I ended up bind mounting the host's /tmp to the jail's /tmp, and got an X app to fire up (which told me that KDE is not listening on tcp), but all characters on the app were squares. I tried installing/starting xfs but that didn't help to resolve that. When I launch the app, I get: QSocketNotifier: Invalid socket specified QSocketNotifier: Internal error I tried editing /etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc to remove anything from ServerArgsLocal (and restarted KDE) that might prevent TCP access (so I don't have to bind mount /tmp) but I still see nothing listening on port 6000. I've tried googling to figure out how to disable security, but all posts (and reasonably so for most cases) seem to be discussing how to enable it (and how disabling it is bad). Can anyone offer some thoughts on removing all traces of X security and also how to fix the font issue so X apps are usable? Many thanks!
