Do you have a desk space-eating, power-guzzling (150W!), dangerously heavy (80 lb!) 21 inch or larger CRT monitor that you would like to get rid of ? As well as running various other Linux apps, I do a lot of photo editing. A CRT works best for me for this, especially at the current the price-performance ratio. (I'll get an LCD monitor someday, as display quality continues to improve and prices drop, and my back will surely thank me.) I need to replace my 21 inch NEC which has given me years of service but has finally died :-( Does anyone know the most affordable way to dispose of it in an environmentally-responsible manner ? If you have one of these CRT beasts you would be glad to have me pick up, for free or an affordable price (I'm on a budget, and perhaps this will save you disposal effort and $), please contact me directly.
