RE: Apple keyboard under Ubuntu

Merci. This is actually the way I found out that this "fn" key was
useless, at least until I find out how to change its mapping, or to add
its mapping so both usual keyboards and the Apple ones are actually
working. I was not using OpenOffice, but another plain text editor that
was displaying the INS status on the status bar. 

As I was typing this reply, I discovered again how much I like the
feeling of the keyboard, just enough so that I know when a character is
actually entered, but at the same time, it is very quiet. I wish all
keyboard would be that silent in an office. That would help reducing the
noise just a little bit.
