OK we had the talk and I get home and fire up virtualbox. Seems there are some permission issues and I must log back in to continue. There are instructions on using vmware images which indicate that you must convert them to single files, then use qemu to convert them to raw. There is a mention that the next version has this fixed, so maybe I'm still running the older version. The question is about SWAP I'm installing an image now and it is creating 1.5gb swap space in the virtual machine, on top of the 2gb swap that is on the host to start with. Who should manage swap with virtual machines the host or the guest? Plugged the Canon Xsi (D450) in when I got home as well and gphoto2 popped up and showed the pictures, theat particula model is not on the list but the d350 is and seems to be close enough. -- OCLUG general discussion list [email protected] http://oclug.on.ca/mailman/listinfo/oclug
