I'm not sure how to do this with linpus lite, but I can recommend the Ubuntu Netbook Release, Karmic Koala on an Acer Aspire One (I am using it here). If you have a USB stick then installing from that is fairly painless + the Ubuntu tools for managing screen resolution and dual screens are pretty good.
