I've downloaded openSUSE 11.2, but I haven't yet started the install. There is a distro called Wolvix that looked as though it might be promising. I sent them an email, but have not had any reply. Hopefully I can get it working properly. I'll probably blitz the drive and do a fresh install of openSUSE 11.2. As long as it doesn't go downhill like ubuntu did then I should be OK. I don't feel I'm asking too much - just be able to use the hardware (nic, wireless, sound, video, keyboard & mouse) and the regular apps like OpenOfficeOrg, Firefox, some multimedia (mplayer or totem for .mpg, .wmv, .avi, flv & .wav) and be able to print.
