I have multiples backup images created from rsnapshot. Due to a changed configuration during setup, one set is not 'linked' - identical files are duplicated in this backup set, instead of being a hard link. This obviously increases the storage required greatly. Before scratching my head too long on this and scripting something to diff and link where files are identical, is there a way I could use use cp or rsync to re-hard link the identical files in the duplicated set, leaving just the different versions of files in place - and reducing my storage by almost 200 GB?
