OT: buying a cable modem

I can buy an RCA model: DM325 off ebay but I want to verify it'll work 
with Rogers.

RCA is owned by Thompson and the RCA 325 is exactly the same as the 
Thompson 325 (I think).

I'm guessing the part of the serial that starts with 00710 is the 
firmware revision.

Is there someone in Nepean with Rogers that wouldn't mind trying out my 
modem?
