IBM, HP, or DELL will gladly sell you one. For your usage I doubt performance will be an issue and would not worry about number of cores, cache or cpu speed. You will most likely be limited by the ammount of RAM. (Virtualized systems are more often then not limited by ram.) Going with a dual cpu socket server will give you more ram slots. In our shop there are a dozen developers and QA testers using a VMware infrasture cluster. Currently 40% of the total ram is in use, and only 2-3% of the cpu is in use.
