ScotLUG :: 25th June 2020 :: Nix and NixOS

Hi Folks!

The next ScotLUG meeting will be on Thursday 25th June. This month, we have
Michael Maclean presenting a talk on Nix and NixOS.

Nix is a powerful package manager for Linux and other Unix systems that
makes package management reliable and reproducible.

NixOS is a Linux distribution with a unique approach to package and
configuration management.

This talk will present Nix and demonstrate some of the features of Nix that
are useful day to day as a developer or administrator. It will also cover
present NixOS, and talk about some of the interesting approaches it enables.

This talk will take place online, with links being sent out before the
event.
