You should be able to run them by launching Terminal and typing the command. For more info on using the utility, type in: $ man minicom or $ man putty Don't be afraid of the Terminal, it is easier and more powerful than DOS. HyperTerminal on Windows XP implements a GUI (Graphical User Interface) on top of command line. It is still a command line utility if you look at it from a different perspective. I'm sorry, I'm not sure if there are any HyperTerminal like utility on Linux and I assume putty is the closest. (I've used HyperTerminal on Windows XP before, but that was so long ago) TUSG guys, any suggestions?
