I do not believe that the literal words of Jesus are recorded in any of 
the Gospels, canonical or otherwise.  Some ideas of Jesus are certainly 
found in the Gospel of Mark with a few in Luke & Matthew (those that 
they did not copy from Mark) and none in the Gospel of John.

And, so, what Jesus said about taxes, if anything, is probably lost to 
time.  I suspect that he said very little about that, as he and his 
earliest followers believed that the World would end within the time 
frame of Jesus' preaching.  Of course, it didn't, which explains Jesus' 
repeated wails of, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?", which is 
the longest Aramaic phrase in the New Testament and is almost surely 
authentic.  The author of Luke, of course, did not like that, which is 
why he replaced it with something else "Father, into your hands I 
commend my spirit", which attests to the authenticity of the Marcan 
account and why Luke is all but a hagiography.
